Voter Registration

In any democracy, the role of the citizen is paramount to the health of the nation.  One of the most important roles a citizen can fill is that of an educated voter.  Please take some time to explore the resources below to learn more about the importance of voting and the role of a citizen.

After you have learned about the importance of voting and civic responsibility,

here are two other sources to help you begin the process of registering to vote:

In order register to vote, a student must be:

  • At least 17 years old; and understand that they may not vote until they reach
    the age of 18.
  • Be a United States citizen;
  • Have been living in the state and county for 30 days; and have been registered to vote at least 21 days before the election.
