Essex County Schools of Technology (ECST), previously referred to as Essex County Vo-Tech, provides students interested in specific vocational or technical fields with the opportunity to participate in education and training. Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs are offered in accordance with each location shown above. All educational programs offer a variety of academic courses and CTE programs that meet the needs and interests of all students, including Gifted and Talented, English Language Learners, and Special Education.

ECST offers admission to students who can benefit from the programs offered. General school records, including attendance and grades are carefully reviewed in determining whether a prospective student has the ability, aptitude, and interest needed to master the skills and knowledge required in the chosen training area. Students must complete the ECST application, which includes writing an essay on their interests that will be considered in their review for admission into the program. Many students attend college following an education at a technical high school. Students are transported to and from their Tech campus.
