Dual Enrollment Courses at a Glance
Enrollment into any of the courses below enables a student the opportunity to be “dually-enrolled” in the course at both Livingston High School and the respective college/university. Successful completion of a dual-enrollment course will grant the student college credit(s) and a college transcript in addition to earning credit on the LHS transcript. Please be aware that dual enrollment classes often come at a cost (typically, this cost is between $300 - 500 per class) which is paid by the student. Each cost is based on the college/university with which the course is associated.
Students may choose to take one of the classes below for credit at LHS while choosing not to enroll in the dual enrollment option (i.e. not pay for the cost of the course). In such instances, no college credit would be awarded.
For more detailed information about the course descriptions and the name of the various credit-granting institutions, please refer to the information located under each of the department sections later in this document. Teachers assist students in the process of completing the required paperwork in order to obtain the college credit(s). Please consult with your school counselor regarding any questions about these courses as well as how to obtain the college transcript to provide in future post-secondary applications.
