FAll 2026 PSAT NMSQT/10th & 11th Grades

Dear Students and Parents of the Classes of 2028 and 2029:

We hope you are enjoying your summer!

As we look forward to the 2026-2027 school year, the School Counseling department is busy preparing to support your child in the post-secondary planning and search processes. As part of these efforts, we want to inform you of the opportunity for your child to take the PSAT/NMSQT at LHS in preparation for future college admissions tests.

Livingston High School is hosting the PSAT/NMSQT on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, for 10th and 11th-grade students. The exam will be held in the afternoon on October 21st. LHS will follow an early dismissal school day schedule. Student testing room assignments will be posted in Genesis the week of the exam. Additional communication about the test day details and the school day schedule will be shared in September.

It is not required that all 10th- and 11th-grade students take the PSAT/NMSQT. LHS will only order testing materials for those who register by the deadline. Please note that there is no cost for registering for the test. Only students who register will be able to sit for the exam on Wednesday, October 21st. Students who do not register by the deadline cannot arrive at school on October 21st and expect to sit for the exam because the test is digital and is only being assigned to students who register. LHS does not receive “extra” exams. Only LHS students are permitted to test at LHS for this assessment.

Students with approved College Board accommodations with an SSD number will have these accommodations automatically applied to their PSAT/NMSQT registration. To decline these accommodations, a signed letter must be submitted to Mrs. Pinhasovich at least one week before testing. Should you decide to decline any of your child's approved accommodations, you must decline all of your child’s accommodations. If you have any questions about your accommodations or your child’s SSD number, please contact your child’s case manager and/or school counselor.

Students are required to have a College Board account to take the PSAT/NMSQT, per College Board procedures. Students can create their College Board account by visiting collegeboard.org. Please be sure that your child has created their College Board account and that they remember the email address used for this account, as they will need it on the test day to ensure no issues in logging into the test or receiving scores in November.
