Senior Snapshot
On October 28, 2026, Livingston High School will capture senior grades for our official “Quarter 1 Grade Report.” This report reflects your current letter grade average in each course (e.g., A, A-, B+) as of October 28. Because LHS operates on a semester calendar, this report serves as the “marking period 1” grade report if requested by colleges. You can view a sample grade report here.
Key Details & Requirements
● Is this report required for college applications?
No, it is NOT mandatory for all colleges. Only submit this report if a college specifically requests senior year first-quarter grades. If you are unsure whether a school requires it, please contact that university's admissions office directly.
● Why can’t School Counselors send this via Naviance?
Naviance uses a “one and done” submission system, meaning a document sent via
Naviance goes to all colleges on your list. Not all colleges require first quarter grades, and since it is such a small number, it is more efficient for students to upload them to their individual college portals that do ask for them.
● How do students access and send the report?
Your Quarter 1 Grade Report will be available in Genesis under the “Documents” tab after 4:00 p.m. on October 28, 2026. Students should download the PDF directly from Genesis and submit it themselves to any college requesting it.
Grading Policy & Snapshot Clarification
In the weeks leading up to October 28, teachers will communicate which assignments, projects, and assessments will be graded and posted in Genesis for the snapshot.
● Grading Turnaround: Per LPS Guidelines and the LHS Student Handbook, tests and quizzes are returned within 7 school days, and projects/essays within 12 school days.
● Finality of Grades: Determinations regarding graded work included in the snapshot are made by teachers in coordination with their cohorts and supervisors. Once captured on October 28, there will be no changes or adjustments to alter a student's snapshot grade.
As always, if you have any questions, please reach out to your school counselor or Mrs. Pinhasovich, LHS College Counselor.
